Romeo, the recently released Tamil film, is now available for streaming on Aha Tamil and Prime Video. The film stars actor-composer Vijay Antony in the lead role, along with Mirnalini Ravi. It is indeed a special occasion for Mirnalini, as her latest film made its streaming debut on the day of her birthday (May 10). The film can also be streamed on OTTplay Premium.
Romeo on Aha Tamil
Romeo is a romantic drama written and directed by Vinayak Vaithianathan and backed by Meera Vijay Antony. The film was released on big screens on April 11 and is now available for streaming on Aha Tamil and Prime Video. While the film received mixed responses upon its release, one has to wait and watch what the response is among the OTT audience after the streaming debut.

Romeo follows the life of a married couple, Arivu and Leela, who get married much against the wishes of the girl. While Leela aspires to be an actor, her dreams are cut short by her regressive household, and she shows this anger towards her newlywed husband. While he bears it all, one day he decides to back the film Leela and her friends are trying to mount, given that he is cast as the lead actor. The rest of the film is about whether Leela and Arivu fall in love or not.
Actors Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Ilavarasu, Thalaivasal Vijay, Sudha, and others play supporting characters in the film.

Upon its theatrical release, many critics drew parallels between Romeo and films like Kavalan, Mouna Ragam, and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The film marked the first collaboration between Vijay Antony and Mirnalini Ravi.
The film’s technical crew consists of cinematographer Farook J Basha, with Vijay Antony handling the editing himself. Barath Dhanasekar has scored the music for Romeo and S Kamala Nathan is the art director. It was shot in Malaysia, Bangkok, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Tenkasi and Mahabalipuram.
