Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan is an upcoming historical drama that will soon have its premiere on television and OTT. It will showcase the life of Prithviraj Chauhan from his childhood to the time he became a revered ruler. The official promo of this historical epic is already out on the internet. And now, Ronit Roy has opened up about playing the role of King Someshwar. He was the father of Prithviraj Chauhan. His guidance and mentorship helped make his son the greatest ruler.
In an official statement, Rohit Roy expressed his excitement about being a part of Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. The actor considered himself 'extremely privileged' to do a grand and meaningful show.
"I have always been drawn to powerful, well-etched characters, and Someshwar is one such role. I truly believe that this character and the show will leave a lasting impact, much like the other roles I have played on television. It is an honor to be part of a story with such immense historical and cultural significance," he said.
The senior actor added that the upcoming show beautifully captures the making of a child king. He further called his character King Someshwar, a man whose wisdom and guidance played an important role in shaping the future of a great ruler.
For the uninitiated, King Someshwar nurtured young Prithviraj Chauhan to take on the responsibilities of kingship. As he grew up, Chauhan's father inculcated values of bravery, wisdom, and justice in him.
Meanwhile, Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan will soon premiere on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV. The episodes will also be available for streaming on OTTplay Premium. That said, the makers are yet to announce the official release date of the historical drama.
