RRR star Ram Charan celebrates his birthday on sets of RC 15. See photos

Telugu superstar Ram Charan celebrated his birthday with RC 15 director Shankar, his co-star Kiara Advani, choreographer Prabhudeva and producer Dil Raju. 

Telugu superstar Ram Charan celebrated his birthday on the sets of his upcoming movie RC 15. The cast and crew threw a grand party for the superstar, who turns a year old on March 27. Charan was showered with flowers as he walked into the sets. And he also cut his birthday cake in presence of the film's director Shankar, his co-star Kiara Advani, choreographer Prabhudeva and producer Dil Raju.

The images from the celebration show Charan enjoying all the love and affection showered on him. The production of RC 15 is going on in full swing. Shankar is shooting RC15 and Indian 2 simultaneously.  

The production of India 2, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead, was stopped in 2020 following a freak accident on the sets that killed three crew members. The Covid-induced lockdown and Shankar's legal disputes with the film's producer Lyca Production caused further delays in the project. The movie was put in cold-storage and Shakar and Kamal moved on to other projects. Kamal produced and acted in Vikram, which became the biggest hit in his career, spanning nearly six decades. Meanwhile, Shankar started shooting RC15 with Ram Charan. However, in light of Vikram's blockbuster success, Indian 2 was revived with Red Giant Movies coming on board as the new producers. 

For the first time in his career, Shankar was in a position to shoot two big projects at the same time. "A journey that has me back to back in the saddle! Towards #RC15," tweeted Shankar last week, while he returned to resume the production of RC 15 after completing a schedule of Indian 2. RC 15 is expected to arrive in cinemas in January next year.  

Ram Charan is, meanwhile, basking in the success of RRR, which won an Oscar earlier this month .
