Bookings have opened across the globe, and tickets are selling like hotcakes. Both films will also have a Telugu release, with hype reaching another level. As the release nears, ticket rates have become a hot topic of discussion in Telugu states.
Coolie & War 2 Clash: Different ticket fate in Telangana and Andhra
In Telangana, the distributors of both War 2 and Coolie requested a ticket hike from the government. The proposed rates were ₹450 for multiplexes and ₹250 for single screens. Generally, the Telangana government allows ticket hikes, but in a surprise move, it rejected the request from the distributors.
As per the latest update, bookings have opened in Telangana as Coolie and War 2's tickets are being sold at regular prices, ₹295 for multiplexes and ₹175 for single screens. This decision has been welcomed by hardcore film lovers. Bookings opened on August 12, 2025, in Telangana regular prices are already reflected on ticketing portals.
On the other hand, the Andhra government has allowed for ticket hikes. They have permitted a ₹75 hike in single-screen price and ₹100 for a ticket in a multiplex. This is something unique that has happened as the state of Andhra never used to encourage ticket hikes much.
Naga Vamsi, the noted producer, is releasing War 2 in Telangana, while Asian Cinemas and Dil Raju are jointly releasing Coolie. Bookings are expected to skyrocket in cities like Hyderabad and Vijayawada, given the craze for Jr NTR, Hrithik Roshan, Rajinikanth, and Nagarjuna.
