His latest movie is gearing up for a release in Tamil and Telugu on April 14
Fans of Raghava Lawrence are ready to welcome their favourite star on screen with Rudhran after four years. Kanchana 3 was the actor-choreographer-filmmaker's previous outing. Rudhran, which has producer Kathiresan at the helm, was supposed to hit the screens a year ago, but makers postponed their plans owing to reasons best known to them.
The movie is releasing in Telugu, too, under the title Rudhrudu on April 14. Stunt episodes and dance scenes are expected to be highlights of the film which has Priya Bhavani Shankar playing the female lead. Sarath Kumar will be seen essaying the antagonist's role.
Lawrence, who is known for his philanthropic activities, has now hit the headlines for lending a hand to a needy producer. Producer VA Durai, who has made projects like Vikram's Pithamagan and Vijayakanth's Gajendra, has been keeping unwell for quite some time.
There were reports about how some of the stars with whom he worked didn't bother to help him financially. Lawrence is said to have donated a sum of three lakh for the producer's medical expenses. With a couple of days left for his latest film's release, this gesture of his has been winning appreciation from cinephiles.
It was only the other day Lawrence took to his social media page to announce that he has adopted 150 children. He also revealed that he would be bearing the educational expense of all the kids and posted a picture with them. His fans expressed happiness on the news and wished success for his future endeavours.
He is likely to have one more release this year. Chandramukhi 2 and Jigarthanda Double X are other projects he is currently busy with. The former has P Vasu at its helm while the latter has Karthik Subbaraj directing it.
