Rudra: The Edge of Darkness: Ajay Devgn’s OTT debut show becomes highest viewed drama on Disney+Hotstar

Actor Ajay Devgn is basking in the glory of his first OTT outing. His crime thriller Rudra - The Edge of Darkness has recorded the highest viewership received for any drama on Disney+ Hotstar. The show, according to the makers, has been trending at the number one spot since its release on March 4. 

Devgn expressed his gratitude towards his fans and said the response has been overwhelming. The Singham actor has issued a statement saying he is happy to see all the love that people are showering upon him on his digital debut. "A big thank you to my audiences for their warm words and wishes. I hope to continue exploring and entertaining everyone with characters like Rudra," he said. 

The show has not only become a favourite among his fans but also many of his colleagues. National award-winning actor Shefali Shah congratulated Ajay Devgn on making his digital drama debut while Vaani Kapoor called the show an engaging and entertaining watch and Ajay Devgn, a 'phenomenal star'.

The show has a distinctive race-against-the-clock narrative that delves into the psyche of highly-intelligent criminal masterminds and the detective, DCP Rudra Veer Singh (Ajay Devgn) who hunts them. The crime thriller is directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and also stars Raashi Khanna, Esha Deol, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Gahlot, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Satyadeep Misra.
