Ruslaan box office collection day 1: What seemed like a dreamy ride at the Box Office for Hindi Cinema, with all kinds of movies working, Shah Rukh Khan single-handedly reviving the business for a while, Karan Johar’s directorial return creating buzz, and Kiran Rao’s heartfelt film receiving validation, is now facing a bumpy time. After the initial success faded, especially with Fighter in the action drama genre, it felt like a unique situation. However, it seems like Bollywood is going through a phase at the moment. Following the struggle faced by Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s action entertainer at the Box Office, a new action spy thriller has hit the screens starring Aayush Sharma. Yes, we are talking about Ruslaan, which was released on the big screen yesterday.
But, contrary to expectations, the movie, which had a trailer packed with action and a formula in place to draw in audiences, failed to make a significant impact on its first day of release, according to the latest numbers circulating on the internet. The film marks Sharma’s first outing outside the Salman Khan Films (SKF) umbrella, as the first two, Love Yatri and Antim: The Final Truth, were backed by Khan’s production house, with the latter even starring Salman. Read on to know everything about it.
Ruslaan, starring Aayush Sharma and Sushrii Mishraa in the lead, has failed to attract a wave of the audience to the big screen on its first day of release. According to Sacnilk, the movie has only managed to earn Rs 60 lakh on Friday, which is not a promising figure for a movie of its genre, despite having a star like Jagapathi Babu in a leading role. The film enjoyed a 6.42 percent Hindi occupancy on its release day, but the number needs to increase significantly.

According to reports, the movie's budget is Rs 25 crores, and earning only Rs 60 lakh on the first day is not a positive trajectory. The film needs to pick up pace to at least break even in the coming days. The real litmus test will be today and tomorrow as it tackles its first weekend after release. It will be interesting to see if word of mouth helps the film or if a miracle brings the audience to theaters in massive numbers.
Directed by Karan Lalit Bhutani, alongside Aayush Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Sushrii Mishraa, Ruslaan also stars Vidya Malvade, Nawab Shah, and an ensemble cast. It revolves around a boy who is saved from an encounter where his terrorist father is killed. As he grows up, he develops patriotism and a desire to serve the country. He aspires to join R&AW and become an asset to the agency. On a mission, he has to save the country from neighboring countries as they hatch a plan to destroy its core.
