Sabyasachi Chakrabarty admitted to hospital

Veteran Bengali actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty was hospitalised on Wednesday. His fans are anxious about his condition. It is heard that he might need a pacemaker. However, his family does not want to reveal anything.

When the press contacted Sabyasachi's wife actress Mithu Chakraborty, she did not want to divulge much. However, she confirmed the news that Sabyasachi was admitted to a hospital. She said, “I am too busy right now. I will go there in the afternoon, see the situation, and comment then.” 

Sabyasachi was present at his grandchild Dheer's Annaprasana event on March 16. Dheer is the son of Gaurav Chakrabarty and Ridhima Ghosh. Sabyasachi supervised everything in the ceremony. Gaurav previously told the media that Sabyasachi liked to spend time with Dheer.

Earlier, the veteran actor said that he would like to retire from acting. He talked of retiring in a press conference in Bangladesh. However, he later told Anandabazar Online that his comments were misinterpreted. He made it clear that, though acting less, he did not retire. He is acting in the film Devi Chowdhurani: Bandit Queen of Bengal, directed by Subhrajit Mitra.
