Malayalam film, Sahasam, was announced in May and the wrap up of its shooting was confirmed by the makers in June. Meanwhile, it has now been reported that the comedy drama, starring Narain in the lead role, will hit the big screen soon.
According to sources, the movie is slated to have a theatrical release on August 7. So far, no other Malayalam films have announced its big screen premiere in the said month. The makers had confirmed that Sahasam would be an August release through its first look poster, which was unveiled in May. Bibin Krishna, who is known for directed Twenty One Grams, has helmed this comedy drama. The post-production works of the movie is underway.
A fun-filled satirical drama is hinted at in the poster, which features a look of the complete cast of the movie. It also implies that there will be humorous moments in the movie that arise from turmoil. The poster also indicates exciting action scenes with an chaotic setting.
Important roles in Sahasam are also being played by Babu Antony, Baiju Santhosh, Yog Japee, Shabareesh Varma, Gouri G Kishan, Tessa Joseph, Ramzan, Varsha Ramesh, Rachana Narayanankutty, Sajin Cherukayil, Jeeva Joseph, and Ann Salim. Narain played a lead role in the 2023 Malayalam film, Queen Elizabeth. Narain, who is also busy acting in Tamil, was most recently seen in the Telugu film, Devara: Part 1, and Malayalam anthology film, Manorathangal. Babu Antony, meanwhile, most recently starred in Vineeth Sreenivasan's Oru Jaathi Jathakam and Basil Joseph's Maranamass.
The film's screenplay was written by the director. Sahasam is financed by Rinish K N under the auspices of The Front Row Productions. The dialogue for Sahasam was written by Bibin Krishna and Yadukrishna Udayakumar. The film's background score and soundtrack have been composed by Bibin Ashok. Shinoj Odandiyil and Ranjith Bhaskaran are the executive producers.
