Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked on January 16 at his Bandra residence. An intruder barged into the actor's home through his youngest son Jeh's room. In an attempt to safeguard his family, Saif was stabbed six times. Khan sustained two serious injuries closer to his spine. Doctors found 2.5 inches of knife during the actor's surgery. Nearly a month after the incident, Saif has finally broken his silence and revealed what exactly happened.
In an interview with the Delhi Times, Saif Ali Khan revealed the intruder had two knives in his hand when he barged in - one of which was a hexa blade. The actor recalled that the culprit was thumping hard in his back, however, he didn't realize it was a knife since it didn't hurt him as such.
"It didn’t really hurt because there’s too much of adrenaline and shock at that moment. And then he was slashing at my neck, and I was blocking it with my hand. There were slashes to my palm and my wrist and arm. There was all this violence – slashing with both hands, most of which was kind of defended," revealed Saif.
The actor recalled that he fought with the intruder but he couldn't handle the situation after a while. Khan mentioned that the man had two knives with him while he was bare-handed and barefoot in a kurta pajama.
"I was just praying that someone could get this guy off me at this point. And my incredibly lovely househelp (Geeta) pulled him off me and shoved him away. And we both kind of rolled away, and closed the door. And at this point I was covered in blood, and I lost some feeling in my right leg," shared Saif.
Khan further mentioned that he tried to go upstairs to find something to fight the intruder. In the meantime, Saif's wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, took Jeh to Taimur's room.
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan will next be seen in Jewel Thief with Jaideep Ahlawat. Directed by Robbie Grewal, the movie is set to release on Netflix.
