On Thursday, April 25, 2024, Mumbai Police arrested two more accused from Punjab in the firing incident that happened outside superstar Salman Khan's residence in Bandra. The firing took place in the early hours of April 14. The two men who are arrested today allegedly arrived in Mumbai's Panvel on March 15 to provide firearms to the other two accused who were earlier arrested for firing outside the actor's home.

Anuj Thapan (32) and Sonu Subhash Chander (37) are the names of the two new accused who will be taken to the court on Friday. The police officer informed that the accused were arrested by the crime branch from Punjab.

"They had come to Panvel on March 15 to provide two country pistols and 38 rounds to Suraj Pal and Vicky Gupta who eventually carried out the firing," the officer was quoted as saying by indianexpress.

According to the office, Thapan is a member of Bishnoi's gang and has already had three FIRs registered against him in the past. "Once we question the two, we will find out if others were involved,” an officer informed. The police have so far named Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol as the suspects in this case. While Bishnoi is currently in Sabarmati prison, Anmol is suspected to be in Canada.

The police earlier arrested Gupta and Pal, who did the firing at Salman Khan's house. They are currently in police custody till April 29.
