Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, starring Salman Khan, triggered significant backlash from Chinese state media and social media, with the Global Times labelling it an "over-the-top" drama that distorts the facts of the 2020 border conflict. Not only this, but the netizens also called out Salman's expressions during a serious battle. Amid this, a new report claimed that a 15-day additional shoot and patchwork are underway for the film. 

Why were extra action scenes added to Battle of Galwan?

Bollywood Hungama reported that Salman Khan, director Apoorva Lakhia and the team are doing patchwork for the film and at the same time, they are working on adding some new scenes, some of which feature action. It’s a 15-day schedule.

Citing the reason for it, the source added, "The patchwork was always intended to be done. The additional filming happened because the makers and Salman realised that those scenes were crucial to the narrative and that they would add to the impact. Salman doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned and wants to ensure that Battle of Galwan turns out to be a great experience for the viewers. Accordingly, he wholeheartedly agreed to the additional shoot.”

The source also noted that the makers have ample time before the film’s release, which is nearly three months away, and expressed confidence that the final product would be completed well ahead of the scheduled April 17 release.
