Sam Bahadur, a film directed by Meghna Gulzar and starring Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, is based on the remarkable life of the great Indian Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. It opened to a decent Rs 5.50 crores nett at the Indian box office. Considering that Sam Bahadur is competing against a movie like Animal, which is a box office hit, these earnings are steady.
On its opening day, the film directed by Meghna Gulzar collected ₹5.50 crore in India. Sam Bahadur's Hindi version saw an overall occupancy of 29.18% on Friday, according to the box office tracking website. However, it's way less than Animal which made a business of ₹60 crore on Day 1. Both Animal and Sam Bahadur were released on December 1.
Over the course of the weekend, Sam Bahadur must show some significant growth to maintain its grip. Right now, the movie is aiming for a weekend gross of more than Rs 20 crores.
