Sam Bahadur, a film directed by Meghna Gulzar, hit the big screens on December 1, 2023. The biography drama film is now ready for its OTT premiere after completing almost two months of its theatrical run. The Vicky Kaushal-starrer is set to stream on ZEE5 beginning January 26, 2024.

Audiences and critics praised Kaushal for his portrayal of the brave patriot Sam Manekshaw, who went on to become India's first field marshal. Some even praised the actor's commitment to the role and his ability to capture the essence of the character in the biographical war drama film, while others anticipated the actor would win a National Award.

The film created a lot of excitement among the audience and competed against Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, in theaters.

Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that the Meghna Gulzar film has brought in a total of Rs. 90.4 crore. The movie gained momentum and crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone internationally.

However, the showcasing of Sam Bahadur significantly decreased after Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki hit cinemas on December 21. It is to be noted that Vicky Kaushal also had an extended cameo in the Rajkumar Hirani-directed film.
