Actress Sanchana Natarajan, who was last seen in Amazon Prime Video's Sarpatta Parambarai, is the latest Tamil actress to foray into Mollywood. She will be seen playing the female lead in Tovino-starrer Untitled, which will have actor-turned-filmmaker Vineeth Kumar at the helm. A source says that the team has started the shooting of the mystery drama which will be shot in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kerala. "Sanchana will join the team later and her portions will be shot in different locations. She will be essaying a role which is different from the ones she has essayed in Tamil."
The young actress also had Jagame Thandhiram earlier this year, which premiered on Netflix. The actress, who made her web series debut with Disney+ Hotstar's As I'm Suffering From Kadhal in 2017, was seen in notable roles in Shankar's Rajinikanth-starrer magnum opus 2.0 and multilingual projects like Nota, Game Over and Irudhi Suttru. Her character Lakshmi in Sarpatta Parambarai was appreciated by audience and critics alike for portraying a doting wife who motivates her husband to do his best in boxing. Hers was one of the few female characters in the movie which stood out for its acting.
The Malayalam film Untitled marks the second directorial venture of Vineeth, who made his debut with Fahad Faazil's Ayal Njanalla. Darshana Rajendran, who came up with impressive performances in Amazon Prime Video's C U Soon and Irul, will also play a significant role in the movie which has screenplay by Sharfu and Suhas, who is also the writers for Dhanush-starrer Maaran. Arjun Lal, who made a notable acting debut in Malayalam film Thanmatra in 2005, is another writer of the film. Cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Shyju Khalid cranks camera for the project which is bankrolled by Ashiq Usman, along with Sameer Thahir and Shyju Khalid.
