Santhanam joins hands with Dikkiloona filmmaker Karthik Yogi again for Vadakkupatti Ramasamy; details inside

It looks like Santhanam is on a signing spree; the actor, who has had two outings in 2022, has a few projects in his kitty. The trailer of his film Kick directed by Prashant Raj was unveiled recently on his birthday. It was announced a couple of days ago that an official update on his biggest movie will be let out soon.

He has revealed his second collaboration with filmmaker Karthik Yogi of Dikkiloona fame. The project, which has been titled Vadakkupatti Ramasamy, will be bankrolled by People Media Factory, a leading production house in Tollywood. 

Billed as a period comedy drama, the movie touches upon the conflict between believers and atheists. Tamizh, who was seen in a notable role in Suriya's Jai Bhim, will play the antagonist's role in the film. John Vijay, MS Bhaskar, Maaran, Motta Rajendran, Ravi Mariya and Nizhalgal Ravi among others essay key characters in the project.

Sean Roldan has been roped in to compose music for the movie which has cinematography by Deepak, who recently directed and cranked the camera for Witness. Shiva Nandeeswaran will handle editing while Rajesh will helm art direction. Popular dance choreographer Sheriff is also on board.

The shooting of Vadakkupatti Ramasamy will begin later this month and makers are eyeing a theatrical release during summer 2023. Kick will be Santhanam's next release, the comic caper is expected to hit the screens soon. 

The actor has already completed a project under Murugan-Prem Anand duo's direction. The untitled film is a horror-comedy which is on the lines of Dhilluku Dhuddu and Dhilluku Dhuddu 2.
