Santhanam, who has had two outings in 2022, Gulu Gulu and Agent Kannayiram, currently has two projects ready for release. He took to his social media page recently to inform that he has completed dubbing for an untitled film which has Prem Anand at the helm.
He revealed that the movie will be a horror comedy on the lines of Rambhala's Dhilluku Dhuddu franchise which he headlined in 2016 and 2019. His fans are hoping that the film would provide the much-needed comeback for the actor. The details pertaining to its cat and crew have not been announced yet.
Last year, he had announced doing a movie titled Kick under the helm of Sandalwood filmmaker Prashant Raj. Tanya Hope was roped in to play the female lead in the project which has Ragini Dwivedi part of a special song in it. Arjun Janya has composed music for the film which has been bankrolled by Naveen Raj.
Santhanam has updated that he has finished dubbing his portions and has posted a few pics from the dubbing studio. The excited actor wrote, "Done with the dubbing for #KICK ✌️ super happy with the way this film has turned out. Coming soon to entertain you all in theatres! (sic)."
Kick is expected to be the first release of Santhanam in 2023, an announcement on its release date is likely to be made soon. We hear that he has been in talks to play a major role in Ajith's AK 62 as well. The two were last seen in Veeram which was released in 2014.
The actor courted controversy recently after he posted a video of him posing with a sedated tiger during one of his foreign trips. Despite netizens lashing at him for being insensitive to the wild animal and setting a bad example, he didn't bother to delete the post which left many of them extremely furious.
