Santhanam's next project, Agent Kannayiram, is a remake of this hit Tollywood film

It was announced recently that the title of Santhanam's next project will be unveiled by Lokesh Kanagaraj on October 15. Directed by Manoj Beedha of Vanjagar Ulagam (streaming on Netflix) fame, the film is titled Agent Kannayiram. Revealing the movie's first look through his social media account, Lokesh said that he had loved Vanjagar Ulagam and that he can't wait to see Santhanam under Manoj's direction. 

He tweeted, "Here is the First Look of #AgentKannayiram Happy to see @iamsanthanam sir in @manojbeedha_dir’s direction, I really enjoyed #vanjagarulagam and now I'm curious to watch this combo soon."

Bankrolled by Labrynth Films, Yuvan Shankar Raja composes music for the movie, which is the remake of Tollywood hit film Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), with which Naveen Polishetty shot to fame. Santhanam's last outing was Karthik Yogi's Dikkiloona, which had a premiere on Zee5 last month. The comic caper which had Santhanam in three roles, too, had Yuvan composing music for it. 

In his tweet, director Manoj wished Dussehra to everyone and expressed happiness for being at the helm of Agent Kannayiram. He posted, "Happy to announce my second directorial. I assure a unique viewing experience with this one. Happy Dussehra everyone." The other cast and crew of the project is yet to be revealed by the makers.   

Meanwhile, Santhanam has the long-delayed Server Sundaram and Sabhaapathy awaiting releases. The first single, Mayakkathe Maaya Kanna, from the latter, composed by Sam CS, was released recently. Directed by R Srinivasa Rao, it was heard recently that Sabhaapathy will have a premiere on SonyLIV, though an announcement on the same is expected soon.
