The love story that filmmaker Hemanth M Rao has been dying to tell us and carrying with him for more than a decade is finally coming to theatres. The film – Sapta Sagaradaache Ello – has taken on a different shape and size since Hemanth first envisioned it, so much so that it is coming out in two parts, with the first hitting theatres on September 1. With Rakshit Shetty in the lead, along with Rukmini Vasanth as his pair, the film has been described as an intense love story, a first for both Hemanth and Rakshit.

The film is being distributed by KVN Productions, and advance booking is expected to open later today, or tomorrow morning in most centres. What has begun, is booking for paid premieres on August 31. As of now, the makers have opened one show each in Bengaluru and Mysuru, which, KVN business head Mohan Suprith said is likely to be increased by end of day. More details on the eventual screen count is also expected later in the day. Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A will release in Kannada only now, with dubbed versions expected to be pushed depending on the response to the film. KVN had distributed last week’s Toby, which has had an average start at the box office. It remains to be seen how many screens the Raj B Shetty film can sustain into the second week, given that show count has already begun declining.

The second part, called Side B, is set to release 7 weeks later on October 20. While Side A’s primary competition is the Telugu film Kushi, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Side B will have a tougher fight at the box office, with Shivarajkumar’s Ghost, as well as Vijay’s Leo, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari and Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageshwara Rao, among many others joining in for a share of the Dasara market.
