Rakshit Shetty, Hemanth M Rao and Rukmini Vasanth have been talking about Sapta Sagaradaache Ello for a while, either together or separately, but so far, it’s only been about the film’s first part, which came to theatres on September 1. The focus was solely on Side A, at the end of which, audiences who have seen the film will know that there were glimpses of what could transpire in Side B. These were fleeting glimpses, but they set the stage for what’s to come, something that the team will look at building on in the days to come.
Side B will introduce Chaithra J Achar’s Surabhi into the mix, when the story picks up 10 years after the events of Side A. (Spoilers ahead) Manu (Rakshit), who has served a 10-year jail term for a hit-and-run case that he takes up to save the son of his employer for a promised sum of money that is then denied to him, steps into the world in which he’s lost everything, especially his love, Priya (Rukmini Vasanth). Will Manu get payback for the years he lost? This and more will be explored when the tale picks up again on October 20.

Unlike Side A’s release, which came pretty much without competition, it’s a different story for Side B. In choosing to release the films 7 weeks apart, Rakshit has placed Side B bang in the middle of the Dasara festive release crowd. As of now, there’s Shivarajkumar’s Ghost and Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo that will be in theatres on October 19, followed by Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari and Kangana Ranaut’s Tejas, among others, on October 20. That’s a lot of heavy-duty competition. As such, the team, we hear, will begin promotions of Side B as early as September 20.
Rakshit and team are currently touring the state to partake in all the love that’s coming their way for Side A, as well as to promote the film, which, they are set to wind up in a week’s time. “They will take a few days’ breather and then kick-start Side B promotions, as they will be left with just a month’s time,” says a source.
