When Hemanth M Rao and Rakshit Shetty had not begun promotions for their next film Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A with only two months to go for the release, netizens had opined that the duo was not doing enough and compared their lack of publicity to the massive drive that Raj B Shetty was on for his film Toby, which released on August 25. At the time, Hemanth had said that he and Rakshit had a plan in place and that it would all fall in place in due course of time.

It was a good 20 days later that the first song from the film, Horaata came out, which was followed by the title track another 20 days later, with the trailer dropping a week after the second song. Just prior to the trailer launch, the team, Hemanth, Rakshit and Rukmini Vasanth, began the mandatory rounds of media interviews, but with only 3 days to go for the film’s release, they’ve not done half as many as what Raj did. Raj, they now feel, may have overdone his promotions, wherein he declared that Toby is a far more massy commercial film than his earlier Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana and that it would have more whistle-worthy moments. As much as Toby has received positive feedback, audiences have pointed out that it is more emotional film and did not have massy commercial elevations.

Netizens are now beginning to wonder if Rakshit’s strategy will, after all, be more effective. On September 1, the film will release with some buzz attached to it, and may just be the surprise package of the week, they reckon. Raj’s Toby had received mixed reviews, which are believed to have affected the film’s business after a decent first weekend. Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, say netizens, could become the silent killer, with early reports of its competition, Vijay Deverakonda’s Kushi said to be average. Hemanth and Rakshit have been promising an intense love story, a genre that is new to both of them. Also, they have one more part to the tale, giving them enough room to do more promotions for that as well.
