Sarath Kumar joins Vijay Antony-Vijay Milton's action film, titled Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan

Cinematographer-filmmaker Vijay Milton has been making a movie with Vijay Antony in the lead. The project, which was untitled till recently, has Sandalwood actor Dhananjaya making his Tamil debut. It is now revealed that the film has been titled Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan. A release issued by the makers said that Sarath Kumar will also be playing a pivotal role in the movie. 

Vijay Antony posted a picture of himself giving away a flower bouquet to Sarath from his Twitter account, welcomed the senior actor to the project and expressed happiness in joining hands with him. His tweet read, "#மழைபிடிக்காதமனிதன் #Salim2 welcomes #SupremeStar. Happy to work with you @realsarathkumar sir."   

The movie is also said to be a sequel to Vijay Antony's Salim (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) which released in 2014. Billed as an action flick, the project is the first Tamil movie to have extensively shot in Daman and Diu. The makers are planning to release the film in theatres in 2022. 

Megha Akash plays the female lead in the film which has Saranya Ponvannan, Murali Sharma, Thalaivaasal Vijay and director Ramana among others essaying pivotal characters. According to the makers, Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan will chronicle ten chapters in the protagonist’s life and will take off from where Salim ended.

Apart from writing and directing the movie, Vijay Milton has cranked the camera as well for the project, which has Vijay Antony composing songs and Achu Rajamani composing background score. Leo John Paul has been roped as the editor while Supreme Sundar has choreographed the action scenes. Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan has K Arusamy as its art director and Sridhar as its dance choreographer.
