Sardar 2 Prologue out: Directed by PS Mithran, the prologue unfolds in Japan, where Karthi defends against attackers as he learns of an impending threat to his country.

Following the first look release of Sardar 2, the makers released a promo introducing the character. A follow up to the to the 2022 Tamil spy action thriller Sardar, Karthi will be resuming the lead titular role in the film, which is written and directed by PS Mithran.
The makers of Sardar, the upcoming Tamil sequel spy action thriller, featuring Karthi as the protagonist, released the Prologue of the film.
The Prologue begins with a locale somewhere in Japan, with soldiers asking if the Delegate is inside a high-walled structure. As the soldiers try to open the doors, we are shown a skilled fighter using martial arts to defend from a group of men. We are then introduced to Karthi as Sardar, who is told that a massive destruction is coming towards his country. At the same time, SJ Suryah is revealed, who all the intelligence agencies are pointing towards. As we are hinted that a war is going to be waged, Karthi seems confident to tackle.
From the Prologue, it is safe to assume that Karthi will be assuming his role as Sardar, a disgraced spy. The music for the film is scored by Sam CS, who has replaced Yuvan Shakar Raja. Sardar 2 will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada. A release date is yet to be announced. Apart from Karthi and SJ Suryah, the sequel also stars Malavika Mohanan and Rajisha Vijayan.

The film features Karthi in dual roles and follo ws the story of a police officer, who uncovers a web of deception, corruption, and conspiracy while investigating an international crime syndicate. The actor also plays his father, who is a disgraced spy returning to solve the crime. Raashi Khanna, Chunky Pandey and, Laila played important roles.
