After getting married in a private ceremony, Satyajit Ray’s grandson and Sandip Ray’s son Souradeep wedding reception took place on March 1 at a gala. The party took place at The Tollygunge Club, where the members of the Ray family and their close ones welcomed the bride Srijata.
Souradeep, the only son of Sandip and Lalita Ray, had a legal marriage in their house. He married his friend of 12 years, Srijata, who hails from Behala. They met while doing internships on a radio channel. They sealed the long relationship with the legal marriage a few days back, and on March 1 the reception took place.
Souradeep wore a red kurta and white dhoti with a designed shawl on his shoulder. Srija wore a silk saree of violet and deep green colour. She had a golden necklace and other golden jewelry.
Souradeep worked as a steel photographer in several movies by Sandip Ray. He is keen on still photography rather than filmmaking. However, he also worked as his father's assistant. In the reception also, he was seen holding a camera.
Sandip Ray was also in a simple dress and posed for pictures. Souradeep and Srijata arranged a simple program. Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee with his wife Nandini came to the reception. Arindam Sil and Anik Dutta were also seen.
The menu was gorgeous, according to Srijata's favourite choices. Pulao, dum aloo, tawa fish, mutton seekh kebab, prawn malaikari, and many other delicacies were there.
