Saurav Das weds Darshana Banik: Checkout the latest photos

Actor Saurav Das is all set to tie the knot with actress Darshana Banik in another few hours at a banquet near Science City, Kolkata. The actor and actress have decked up in traditional Bengali wedding attire. They held a photo shoot and shared some photos with OTTplay for our readers. Have a look.

We have reported earlier that Darshana will be wearing a red Banarasi sari. The traditional sari is weaved with real silver zari that is gold-plated. The sari is a curated piece that took more than five to six months to make. She teamed it up with traditional gold jewellery. Some of the jewellery pieces are from heirlooms. She wore her mother’s and grandmother’s jewellery pieces. While talking to OTTplay, the model actress said, “I am in love with gold jewellery and wanted to make the wedding dress up as traditional and gorgeous as possible. Hence, I chose the Banarasi sari with gold.”

On the other hand, Saurav, who has been busy sending invitation reminders and location maps to the guests, wore an off-white kurta and red shawl. Their wedding will take place at 9 pm and he will wear the kurta dhoti throughout. 

Earlier in the day, Darshana and Saurav enjoyed their gaaye holud ceremony. Saurav wore a white dhoti kurta and Darshana wore a yellow Banarasi.

The menu of the evening is an elaborate one with chingri malaikari, bhetki mach, chicken, and mutton. Their reception will take place on December 17. That will be a closed-door event with only family members and friends.
