Mukesh Tiwari on life after China Gate

"When China Gate was released, I had a heavy get-up (in the film). People did appreciate (my character) but no one knew who Mukesh Tiwari was. They only knew my character Jageera. For 2 years, main khaali baitha tha. I had to approach people that I have done this role. I had to convince producers because they couldn't believe the man who played Jageera looked like this. That was a journey in itself," Mukesh told OTTplay.

The actor went on to add, "It was an important phase of my life. If I had got 25 films right after China Gate, I wouldn't have deeply understood the industry and the process of working. It is important to understand the process. As an actor, you have to learn the working style of any person you are working with."
