Mukesh Tiwari made his acting debut with China Gate in 1998. The actor opened up about how things changed after his first film was released.

Actor Mukesh Tiwari entered the world of showbiz in 1998. He played the role of Jageera in Rajkumar Santoshi's China Gate. However, after his first film was released, the actor didn't get any work for two years. In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, Mukesh Tiwari recalled that he did face difficulties at the beginning of his film career.

"When China Gate was released, I had a heavy get-up (in the film). People did appreciate (my character) but no one knew who Mukesh Tiwari was. They only knew my character Jageera. For 2 years, main khaali baitha tha. I had to approach people that I have done this role. I had to convince producers because they couldn't believe the man who played Jageera looked like this. That was a journey in itself," Mukesh told OTTplay.
The actor went on to add, "It was an important phase of my life. If I had got 25 films right after China Gate, I wouldn't have deeply understood the industry and the process of working. It is important to understand the process. As an actor, you have to learn the working style of any person you are working with."

Further, in conversation with us, Mukesh revealed when Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 5 will go on floors. The actor said it is fixed that Golmaal 5 would be made and it is likely to go on floors by next year.
He also stated, "I feel Vasooli is an important part of Golmaal and the audience has made it. Next year, definitely app log dekh paayenge (audience will be able to watch it).'

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mukesh Tiwari was recently seen in Scam 2003: The Telgi Story Vol. 2. He essayed the role of Suryapratap Gehlot in the series. Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, the web series' final five episodes premiered on November 3.
