Seenu Ramasamy thanks Udhayanidhi for his words of appreciation after watching Idi Muzhakkam

Seenu Ramasamy's GV Prakash-starrer was titled Idi Muzhakkam in 2021. Gayathrie plays the female lead in the project which is billed as an action movie set against a rural backdrop. Kalaimagan Mubarak has produced the film which has story written by Jeyamohan. A lion's share of the movie was shot in Theni, and its shooting was completed a few months ago.

Post the shooting of the project, an elated Seenu was all praise for GV's performance and called him Vetri Tamizhan. The actor-musician, too, had expressed excitement for having associated with the movie.

He had taken to Twitter to post, "Like a student who goes back to the city after his village festival, I'm returning to Chennai after completing the shoot of Idimuzhakkam. Thanks to Seenu Ramasamy sir for providing me this memorable opportunity (sic)." NR Raghunathan has composed music for the movie for which Vairamuthu has penned lyrics.

Seenu has now thanked Udhayanidhi for appreciating him after watching a special screening of the rural drama. The filmmaker took to social media to extend his gratitude to the actor-politician. Apparently, Udhay had called Seenu, GV and Saranya Ponvannan, who plays a pivotal role in the film, over phone and appreciated their efforts. 

Interestingly, it was Udhay and Vijay Sethupathi, who had earlier worked with Seenu, who revealed the film's title last year. The makers are yet to announce the film's release plans. Last year, the movie's producer said that the team is yet to take a call regarding its release avenue. 

Meanwhile, Seenu's long-delayed film Maamanithan, starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, will finally hit the screens on June 24. May 6 was the first date the makers announced earlier, followed by May 20. Movie buffs hope that there will not be any further change in its release date.
