Shaakuntalam OTT release- This is how much Samantha demanded as her remuneration

Shaakntalam was one of the most awaited films in recent times for various reasons. Samantha was doing a historic film for the first time in her career and the fiilm was directed by Gunasekhar and had Dil Raju as the co-producer. All the aspects were set for a perfect hit project. But Shaakuntalam ended as one of the biggest flops in the history of Telugu cinema.

Shaakunatalam was released on April 14th India wide and within a month, it is now streaming on Amazon Prime. Now that the film is out, we have come to know an interesting aspect of Samantha's remuneration for the film. Not many know but Samantha had quoted a whopping seven crores for doing the film.

But Dil Raju intervened and gave her only three crores as her fee. She allotted 150 days for the shoot and fell sick during the he making of Shaakuntalam as well. Dil Raju has personally lost 20 crores on the film and the same is the case with director Gunasekhar as well.

As Shaakuntalam is streaming on Prime video, the trolling has not stopped one bit. The social media is filled with memes about this film and many are terming the graphics as cheap and C grade. In all this, the makers are happy that their film is getting a lot of attention on OTT.
