Shah Rukh Khan: ‘Not the bathroom, it’s my library that I like the most’

If Shah Rukh Khan is speaking at an event, for sure there will be no dearth of witty remarks and clever banters. On Monday evening, when the Pathaan star was fulfilling ‘husband duties’ by attending his wife and interior designer Gauri Khan’s coffee table book launch, he said that although it’s an open secret that SRK spends long hours in the bathroom, it’s the reading space in the house that he likes the most.

In his signature witty style of speaking, the superstar said, “I still can’t believe that I spend a lot of time in the bathroom, but I do like my library the most. There’s a section of the house, which is kind of my office. It doesn’t have any electronics. It’s a library where I just like sitting in. It’s been long since I’ve read the books in it, but it just feels very intellectual and smart. A lot of people get fooled when they walk in. They ask, ‘You read them all’, and I say, ‘Yeah, 70% of them’.”

On the work front, after the record-shattering success of Pathaan, Shah Rukh is now gearing up for his upcoming action thriller film, Jawan, which is written and directed by Atlee, and produced by Gauri. The movie will feature Shah Rukh in a double role, alongside Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani. Deepika Padukone, Vijay, Sanjay Dutt and Allu Arjun will be making cameo appearances in the film. It’s scheduled to release on September 7. Apart from this, he will also be seen in Tiger 3 and Dunki, as well as in Tiger vs Pathaan, along with Salman Khan. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie is part of the YRF Spy Universe that features various fictional RAW agents.
