A movie that marked the legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s Hindi debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala marking their first collaboration and Gulzar Sahab with AR Rahman writing and composing some of the most pristine songs Hindi cinema ever heard. The magic that the film created with its political undertone and the backdrop of the seven stages of love was so mesmerizing that the film stood the test of time and is a cult classic now. But what if we tell you Shah Rukh Khan has just pitched another film to Mani?
What Exactly Happened?
Shah Rukh Khan is back again with his sassy comments and replies. It all happened during a CNN-News18 event where Shah Rukh Khan received the Indian of the Year award. The actor stole a moment on the stage, making all of us go crazy. The Bollywood superstar, who has previously worked with ace director Mani Ratnam in 'Dil Se,' begged him for a film, and it is currently the funniest thing on the internet. SRK said, "It's all come out in the open now. I'm requesting you - I'm begging you - I'm telling you every time! Do a film with me, I swear, I will dance on top of a plane on Chhaiya Chhaiya if you'd tell me."
The conversation didn't end at SRK's request; instead, it became more hilarious when Mani Ratnam said he would do a film with SRK when he bought a plane. To this, Shah Rukh Khan said, "Mani, the way my films are going...this plane is not far away. I'm coming!" Shah Rukh didn't stop here; rather, he added to his comment and said, "Thank you, Mani Sir, for the film! March, I'll be there, sir. Morning shift, 2 pm."

After this fun banter made it to social media, fans started reacting to it. A fan while sharing the clip wrote, “Shah Rukh Khan's pitch to Mani Ratnam for another film after Dil Se is so wholesome.” Another one wrote, “Shah Rukh Khan expressed his eagerness to work with Mani Ratnam, even going as far as to humorously mention dancing on top of a plane for a film collaboration.
