Following his commercial success with Jawan and Pathaan, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for the release of his third film this year. On December 21, the movie Dunki, which is the first joint venture between actor and director Rajkumar Hirani, will be released in theaters.
The SRK starrer opened advance ticket sales on Saturday and made Rs 1.36 crore in only one day. On the first day of booking, about 38,000 tickets for 2836 shows in Hindi were sold, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
However, Salaar, the action-packed pan-Indian film starring Prabhas and Prashanth Neel, will compete with Dunki at the box office. On December 22, it will be released. Beginning on December 15, Salaar's advance ticket sales have brought in an astounding Rs 1.52 crore.
