Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One clocks 12 years; director Anubhav Sinha shares a BTS photograph from the film

In his career spanning many years, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been a part of films of many genres. Be it romance, comedy, action, or tragedy, the King Khan has ‘been there, done that’. Shah Rukh Khan also did a science fiction superhero film, ‘Ra One’. The film was released in 2011 and completed 12 years of release in 2023.

On the occasion of ‘Ra One’ completing 12 years (read ‘celebrating' 12 years) of its release, the film’s director, Anubhav Singha, took to social media and shared the film’s BTS (Behind The Scene) photograph with netizens. The said photograph features Anubhav along with the film’s hero (or should we say 'superhero'?) Shah Rukh Khan! In what one would describe the moment as candid, the end result was definitely memorable. From the looks of it, it seemed as if the two (Anubhav Sinha and Shah Rukh Khan) were busy discussing a shot.

After posting the photograph on social media, Anubhav Sinha wrote, “Been twelve years today. Learned so much from this experience. It continues to pay in many ways till date. #Ra.One”. In no time, the netizens started writing in the comments section. Many of the comments that were posted were mostly memories associated with the film. The said photograph, which had both Anubhav Sinha and Shah Rukh Khan in one frame, is definitely worth its weight in gold. While Anubhav Sinha can be seen standing casually with his hands in his jacket, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen tied to a harness. The said photograph was presumably taken after the required shot.

As for the netizens, besides the memories associated with the film and Shah Rukh Khan, there were many who were actually wanting a sequel to the film ‘Ra One’. Whether Anubhav Sinha gives in to the requests of the die-hard Ra One fans and makes its sequels is something that only time will tell. As for the film Ra One, besides Shah Rukh Khan (in a double role), it starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Rampal.
