Shahid Kapoor's Deva to have a sequel? Actress Kubbra Sait drops BIG hint

Shahid Kapoor's Deva was one of the most-awaited action-thrillers of 2025. The film released in cinemas on January 31, began with a slow start at the box office. Along with Kapoor, the film also featured an ensemble cast including Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati, and Kubbra Sait. Now, Kubbra has shared a series of behind-the-scenes glimpses from the film and a major hint about an upcoming sequel that has surely excited fans.

Deva sequel on the cards?

Kubbra Sait took to her Instagram account and treated fans with some behind-the-scenes pictures featuring Shahid Kapoor from the sets of Deva. The duo can be seen practicing their action stunts with guns. Sharing the pictures, she wrote a long note as a caption. However, it is one of her replies to a fan which began speculations about a Deva sequel.

The fan said, "Sab acha tha... acha chal raha tha.. ending aisa kyun kiye? samajh nahi aaya (everything was good.. it was all going good… but why was the ending like that? Couldn’t understand), to which Kubbra responded, “part 2 dekh lena (watch part 2).”

In the caption, Kubbra gave shoutouts to the cast and crew. She wrote, "A massive shoutout to the entire crew and support crew of this film, which is as real as real gets. From the incredible Assistant Directors to the fabulous Fashion Stylists, their hardworking assistants, our legendary Set Dadas, and the rockstar Spot Boys and Girls - every single one of three hundred of you pulled off a miracle." She also expressed her gratitude to her management and thanked every person. 

Meanwhile, Kubbra Sait played the intense role of a cop as Dipti Singh.

The OTTplay review of Deva reads, "Deva, the so-called "adaptation", tries to outrun its source material but ends up chasing its own shadow. While Shahid Kapoor’s performance flexes its muscle memory, the film itself suffers from amnesia, forgetting to tighten its loose ends."

The plot of the film follows Shahid Kapoor as a rebellious police officer who investigates the murder of a fellow cop and uncovers a web of deceit and corruption within the force while navigating the gritty underbelly of Mumbai. Pooja Hegde played the female lead, with supporting roles by Pavail Gulati, Pravesh Rana, and Kubbra Sait.
