Shaitaan box office collection day 1 - Ajay Devgn's film off to a flying start, earns Rs 14.50 crore

Shaitaan box office collection day 1 - Vikas Bahl's supernatural horror film, starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyothika, hit the silver screen on March 8, 2024. The movie clashed with Randeep Hooda and Ileana D'Cruz's Tera Kya Hoga Lovely at the box office. However, Shaitaan remained unfazed by it and got a fantastic start at the ticket window. The film's day 1 box office collection is estimated at Rs 14.50 crore.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Shaitaan earned approximately Rs 14.50 crore on day 1 at the box office. The Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan-starrer is off to a flying start at the ticket window after it opened to a good response from critics and audiences alike. Shaitaan, the remake of the Gujarati film Vash, has been produced by Ajay, Jyothika, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak. 

While the domestic box office collection of Shaitaan is out, the makers are yet to share the official global box office figures. It remains to be seen how the supernatural thriller performs in the international market.

Shaitaan OTT partner revealed!

Shaitaan, released on March 8, has already locked its OTT partner. Once Ajay and R Madhavan's film's theatrical run ends, the film will have a digital premiere on the leading streaming platform, Netflix. Audiences will be able to enjoy watching this supernatural thriller on the OTT platform nearly two months after Shaitaan's theatrical run.

Shaitaan storyline

Meanwhile, the basic premise of Shaitaan is about R Madhavan's character creating havoc in Ajay Devgn and Jyothika's happy life with their daughter. Madhavan's character hypnotizes their daughter to the extent that the girl slaps her and also ends up hitting her father.

As far as the second installment of Shaitaan is concerned, Kumar Mangat Pathak teased the same at the film's trailer launch. He stated that Shaitaan 2 is ready in his mind.
