Shaitaan box office collection day 6: Shaitaan, starring Ajay Devgn, Jyothika, and R Madhavan, has entered the ₹100-crore club in just six days. On Wednesday, the film collected ₹6.25 crore, taking its domestic total to ₹74 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Shaitaan, helmed by Vikas Bahl, was released in theatres on March 8. The horror-mystery film started its box office run by raking in an impressive amount of ₹17.75 crore. On its second day, the film saw a jump and collected ₹18.75 crore and maintained its momentum by collecting ₹20.5 crore on its third day. 

The film had an overall Hindi occupancy of 13.08 percent on Wednesday, March 13. Chennai recorded the highest occupancy. The film is a remake of the 2013 Gujarati movie titled Vash.

As per reports, the Ajay Devgn-starrer collected around ₹80 crore in India and around ₹20 crore overseas making its overall total ₹100 crore. Shaitaan now becomes the third film of 2024 to cross this milestone at the ticket window after Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor-starrer Fighter, and Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. It is also now the seventh film to cross ₹100-crore mark worldwide. 

Shaitaan is currently doing well at the box office, thanks to good reviews and excellent word of mouth. However, the film will face competition starting March 15, tomorrow. with Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani, and Rashi Khanna-starrer Yodha, which is also a big-budget movie. Now, let's wait and watch if the film can survive its second weekend with good numbers after facing competition. The main test, however, will be the second Monday for Shaitaan. 

The mystery-thriller now becomes Ajay Devgn's third film post-Covid to enter the ₹100-crore club after Drishyam 2 and Bholaa. South actress Jyothika, who made her Bollywood comeback with Shaitaan, enters the ₹100 crore club for the first time. On the other hand, this is R Madhavan's third film to enter the prestigious club.
