Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan’s Shaitaan earned Rs. 4.48 crores in the morning, according to the Box Office collection on day 1

Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan’s much-awaited Shaitaan is finally out in theatres. The movie is receiving positive feedback and that seems to have helped the Box Office collections of the supernatural-horror, which is the official remake of the Gujarati film Vash. The Vikas Bahl directorial released in theatres across India on March 8. The early Box Office collection of the movie predicts that Shaitaan will mint nearly Rs. 15 crores at the Box Office on its opening day.
Shaitaan’s early opening day Box Office
Shaitaan had minted Rs. 4.48 crores earlier in the day, according to a report on Sacnilk. The film saw an occupancy of 13.54% percent which is good for morning shows. The most footfalls came from Mumbai (18% across 1046 shows) and the second best came from Delhi (12% across 1159 shows).

Predicted BO
The film, according to Box Office Worldwide, is likely to mint Rs. 15 crores and at least cross Rs. 14 crores on day one. The collections revealed were of morning and early afternoon shows and day one releases grow only over the first evening and night. Seeing the trend, Shaitaan is likely to start off successful.

About Shaitaan and Vash
Shaitaan is the official Hindi remake of the Gujarati superhit, Vash. Queen helmer Vikas Bahl directed the film and interestingly, the one possessed in both the movie is Janki Bodiwala. Jyothika is a part of Shaitaan with Ajay and Madhavan. She plays the role of Ajay’s wife. His family is affected by a tantrik, played by Madhavan. The story is of the family going on a vacation to a secluded village, where they come across a stranger who pretends to be a well-wisher but actually has sinister plans.
Vash is currently off OTT, as Shaitaan makers hoped that the viewers watch their film in theatres. Originally streaming on ShemarooMe, Vash will not be available till Shaitaan’s OTT release. The Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan starrer will be out on Netflix two months after its theatrical release.
