We have seen popular actor-filmmakers from Bollywood venturing into the south recently. But not just actors, musicians are also looking to push the boundaries and explore new ventures. Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, the popular musical trio from Bollywood, is all set to venture into Malayalam cinema. Yes, you read that right! The musical trio themselves made the announcement on their Instagram handle a while ago. Here’s everything that we know about the upcoming Malayalam project.
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is all set to collaborate on a Malayalam project, that will be backed by Reel World Entertainment. In an Instagram post, the popular Bollywood trio made the big announcement.
“This one’s got it all – Kochi’s soul, WWE wrestling madness, chenda beats, and a soundtrack that’s literally gonna pack a punch!” a part of the post read.
The musicians also said the project is something they have never done before. They concluded the post with the promise that the cast and title announcement would be made very soon.
From the post, it is being speculated that the film could revolve around wrestling madness, set in Kochi.
The post is garnering a lot of likes with even the official handle of Spotify India commenting “2025 already epic aanello!"

Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, and Loy Mendonsa, popularly known as Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, have been enthralling audiences for over three decades. Some of their popular compositions are in Farhan Akhtar's Dil Chahta Hai, SRK's Kal Ho Naa Ho and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Dhadakne Do, among many others. Apart from Bollywood, they have worked on Tamil and Telugu projects and are now set to foray into Malayalam cinema.
Though the trio are set to mark their debut in Malayalam, Shankar Mahadevan has previously sung for many Malayalam films. Picha Vacha Naal from Prithviraj-starrer Puthiya Mukham and Kalyanakacheri from Mohanlal-starrer Madampi are among the popular songs of Shankar Mahadevan in Malayalam. He also won the Best Male Playback Singer for the song Kalyanakacheri.
