There has been a lot of buzz on social media about how Shanthnu Bhagyaraj was dejected after his role in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Master was mercilessly chopped and his character was barely noticed. He had recently opened about it in an interview but soon word spread that he had blamed the film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the same.

However, Shanthnu has clarified that he didn't blame anyone for his miniscule portions in Master. He also revealed that he had met Lokesh and Vijay on the sets of Leo recently. "Lokesh had been inviting me to his house for quite some time now, but I couldn't go since I was busy with the release of Raavana Kottam. He kept on inviting me for dinner and I told him I will come after the release of the film. I had barely reached the sets when Lokesh complained to Vijay about me.

"Anna, Shanthnu has been showing off. He is not even coming home." To which Vijay replied, " For what you have done to him, you expect him to come home for dinner, too. " He revealed that the incident has now become a joke among their circle.

Shanthnu revealed that Lokesh Kanagaraj still feels guilty about chopping off his portions. "He had told 'Sorry' soon after the release of Master. I told him not to worry about it and that I understand if my portions had to be cut."

Shanthnu had stated that he was hoping that Master would become a turning point in his career but unfortunately, didn't happen. "I did a lot of promotions as I thought that the film would be a turning point in my career. If I knew my footage would be for a few minutes, I wouldn't have done so much. I faced a lot of trolls after the release of Master. Some even stated that I had given more interviews than my portion in the film."

He added that he had shot for 30 days for his character Bhargav. "Lokesh had told me that he preferred me to play Bhargav. My character had a nice graph and there were many variations to his character. I was given a separate unit for a solo fight sequence. I also had a combination fight sequence with Vijay where the bond between them transforms. That apart, Gouri and Bhargav had a separate love track as well. It didn't translate into the film, but it was no one's mistake," he said.
