Shark Tank India is one of the most popular reality shows of recent times. The sharks on the show rose to fame overnight and the show also helped bring forth their journey, shedding some light on their struggles and what drove them to become the successful entrepreneurs that they are today.

One of the sharks, Aman Gupta, the co-founder and CMO of boAt had revealed that the biggest regret of doing the show is that he had to wear the same clothes for different episodes. Though he regrets wearing the same clothes now, he didn't seem to have any issues when he used to wear them before. The businessman recently opened up about the initial days of his company boAt and said in a Linkedin post that he used to wear his company's T-shirt to malls and airports for years as he had no budget for branding.

Aman took to LinkedIn to announce that he has now become a LinkedIn Influencer too. The post opened with him talking about how wore the T-shirt with his company's logo to almost everywhere as he had no money to advertise the brand but it actually gave him the best ROI ever.

His LinkedIn post reads: “People who know me, know how many times I've worn this same boAt t-shirt across the years. Firstly, much like Steve Jobs' strategy - it helps save time. But more importantly, I used to wear it for branding: put a larger than life logo of boAt and wore it to malls/airports etc. It had the best ROI ever, given that I had no budgets to actually advertise the brand initially.” (sic)

He further wrote that like everybody else, he too started with nothing. "It is important to have an eye for frugality - easily accessible resources with great ROI (return of investment). I recommend young entrepreneurs to never shy away from using resources like social media platforms well, like I used Linkedin; from finding investors to marketing the brand to corporate hiring for boAt Lifestyle," he added while announcing that he is starting his journey as a #LinkedInInfluencer, let's #CreateOnLinkedIn.

Aman, as well as other sharks, have earlier complained about wearing the same clothes on different episodes. During a conversation with Tanmay Bhat, Aman and Namita Thapar, executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals said that they even offered the money for their own clothes but the makers did not oblige as they wanted them to wear same clothes for a few days so that they could edit and pick any from the shoots.

Meanwhile, Shark Tank India is a business reality show where budding entrepreneurs pitched their ideas and business models to sharks for investment in exchange for a certain per cent of stake in the company. Season one is available to stream on SonyLIV. It was hosted by Rannvijay Singha.
