Shark Tank India’s stage witnessed some revolutionary products and Thinkerbell Labs’ self-learning braille device Annie was one of them.

The device helps visually-impaired people learn how to read, write and type in braille by themselves, and the company founders invited a special guest to give the sharks a demonstration. A ten-year-old student, Prathamesh Sinha took the sharks through how the device works, leaving the businesspersons impressed. He also shared how much he admired boAt co-founder and chief marketing officer, Aman Gupta and the boAt products, even giving a delightful impression of the voice-overs that featured on boAt devices. The starstruck young man also clicked a picture with the sharks before leaving the stage.

In a conversation with Rohan Joshi and Sahil Shah, Aman talked about how it’s both ‘scary’ and sometimes ‘good’ when people recognise the sharks after their appearance on the show. Aman went on to talk about Prathamesh, and how much he ‘loved’ the young man. The businessman said that they were not aware that they were people like Prathamesh, who had so much love and fondness for the sharks. “It’s nice, it’s different, it’s something new,” he added.

He also revealed that he sent the young man some boAt products on his birthday.

The founders of Thinkerbell labs received a deal worth Rs 1.05 crore for a stake of 3% in their company from Aman; Namita Thapar, executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals; Peyush Bansal, CEO and co-founder of Lenskart; and Anupam Mittal, CEO and co-founder of Shaadi.com.

Shark Tank India’s first season can be streamed on SonyLIV.
