Since January last week, Sony LIV has been airing one of the most popular business reality shows in India, Shark Tank India Season 3. In the recent episode of the show, 18-year-old Siddharth Madhav from Dehradun and 24-year-old Ha Tade from Itanagar presented their unique petrol detector and meter. They sought an investment of Rs 50 lakh for a 5% stake in their business, which is currently at a pre-revenue stage and is yet to enter the market. During the pitch, the Sharks thoroughly examined their backgrounds and the details of their innovative invention.

Sharks get upset at pitcher for abandoning his parents

During the pitch, Ha Tade revealed that he had not met his parents for two years in the hope of fulfilling his dreams. Anupam Mittal, one of the Sharks on the panel of investors, wondered why the pitcher abandoned his parents. The pitcher, without showing any expression of sadness or regret, expressed that he studied at a well–known college but was not very keen to join a company at that point in time. The pitcher said that he always wanted to start his own company instead of working under someone.

The Sharks on the panel further grilled Ha Tade about his decision to leave his parents. The pitcher said that his parents are farmers by profession and their family belongs to a low-income background.

The Sharks were taken aback by Ha Tade's apparent lack of humility. They couldn't help but feel astonished that despite his parents' considerable efforts to ensure his happiness, health, and success, Ha Tade seemed to have disregarded their contributions. It was disheartening for the Sharks to witness Ha Tade's apparent abandonment of his parents, which they found deeply disappointing and disgusting. Aman Gupta, one of the Sharks, kindly said that Ha Tade should return to his parents and meet them.

With such an outlook towards life, it was evident that the Sharks declined to present any offer to the two pitchers. Thus, the pitchers failed to crack a deal.
