Shiddat’s new song Barbaadiyan charms with its delightful depiction of young love

The makers of Shiddat seem to be doing everything right in terms of boosting the hype for the upcoming romantic drama. Recently the third track from the film titled ‘Barbaadiyan’, has been released.

The music video for the party song takes viewers through some very endearing moments in the life of the lead couple Jaggi and Kartika, played by Sunny Kaushal and Radhika Madan, including the playful squabbling, friendly competition as well as some moments of doting over each other. The clip also features some very entertaining dance numbers as well, where we see the adorable couple tearing up the dance floor.

Barbaadiyan comes on the heels of the release of the film’s first two tracks Shiddat and Akhiyan Udeek Diyan, the former being the film’s title track. The recently released number has lyrics penned by Priya Saraiya, popular for providing the lyrics to Jeena Jeena from the movie Badlapur, and is sung by Sachet Tandon, Nikhita Gandhi, Madhubanti Bagchi and Sachin- Jigar. The popular duo of Sachin- Jigar have also acted as composers for the songs in the film.

Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, of Jannat fame, Shiddat stars Radhika Madan, Sunny Kaushal, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty. A trailer for the same released earlier shows the tumultuous love story of a young couple, whose passionate relationship seems to be rife with hurdles. It had been well-received and had stoked audiences’ anticipation of seeing the whole film.

Shiddat is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan under their production banners of T-Series and Maddock Films.

Although the film wrapped up its shoot last year, its release was delayed due to the pandemic. The film is set for a release on 1st October on Disney+ Hotstar.
