Shodha on OTT: Siri Ravikumar collaborates with Kyaabre creator Suhas Navarathna again

Shodha, the second Kannada original web series commissioned by Z5, will drop on the platform in a fortnight. Directed by Sunil Mysooru, who made the Kannada film Orchestra Mysuru earlier, the suspense thriller has been written by standup comedian Suhas Navarathna, who, incidentally was the creator of one of the early Kannada web shows, Kyaabre. Siri Ravikumar, who was on the cast of Kyaabre, is a part of Shodha too, which was officially announced earlier today, although the team had revealed it during the announcement of Pawan Kumar as the lead. The poster that was attached featured images of Pawan with Siri.

Siri's second collaboration with RJ Pradeepa too

While no details were provided about Siri’s character Meera, going by the accompanying image, it would be safe to assume that she plays Pawan’s wife. The 6-episode show will drop on the platform on August 22, a trailer for which is expected shortly. Shodha is Siri’s latest Kannada web series, having also played the lead in By Mistake, a show that was produced by RJ Pradeepa’s Sakkath Studio. Pradeepa is the Head of Z5’s Original content wing.

Speaking about the project, Siri says, "From theatre to films, and from singing to acting in projects that have shaped me as an artist, my journey has always been about embracing compelling narratives. Shodha is one such story, layered, intense, and engaging; and I'm thrilled to be a part of this gripping thriller on Z5."

The show has been produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj of KRG Studios, for whom, a web series is a new space to explore. KRG Studios began as a distribution arm and later ventured into film production. Sunil’s Orchestra Mysuru was a film that KRG Studios brought to theatres.

On the big screen, Siri was last seen in the film Bisi Bisi Ice Cream, in which she was paired with Aravind Iyer, who, incidentally, was the leading man of another Sakkath Studio production, Hate U Romeo.
