The shooting of Srijit Mukherji’s legal drama, Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichu Nei, is over. OTTplay was the first to report on the planning and casting of the film. Billed as a legal drama, the film is based on Ek Ruka Huwa Faisla – a play and then a film directed by Basu Chatterjee, who made the film as a remake of Reginald Rose’s 12 Angry Men.
Srijit’s film has an enormous star cast with Parambrata Chatterjee, Ritwick Chakraborty, Ananya Chatterjee, Kanchan Mullick, Arjun Chakrabarty, Phalguni Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Kaushik Ganguly, Anirban Chakrabarti, Sauraseni Maitra, Rahul Arunodoy Banerjee and Suhotro Mukhopadhyay. On June 27, the first look of six out of 12 actors was revealed by the production house, SVF. OTTplay got hold of the photos.
The shooting of the film took place earlier this month, on June 10. On the first day of shooting, veteran actor Phalguni Chatterjee met with an accident. There was a shot of shattering glass and the actor sustained deep cut injuries. However, after a brief visit from the hospital, Phalguni went back to shoot the next day.
Since its inception, Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichhu Nei has gone through a number of changes. Earlier, Anirban Bhattacharya and Rudranil Ghosh were supposed to play some of the key characters. In fact, they were seen at the Muharat of the film. Riddhi Sen and Satyam Bhattacharya were also supposed to play different characters in the film. However, they are not in the new team.
Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichu Nei is the working title of the film and the title is inspired by a song in Srijit’s second film, Baishey Srabon. Besides this film, the director’s collaboration with Dev in Tekka will be released this Durga Puja. He has also completed the second season of Feludar Goyendagiri for Hoichoi. This season is based on Satyajit Ray’s Bhuswargo Bhoyonkawr. Tota Roy Chowdhury, Anirban Chakrabarti, Kalpan Das, Riddhi Sen, and others will be seen in the series.
