Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole was released in Indian theatres in January 2024 and received positive reviews from critics and viewers. Directed by Debaloy Chatterjee of Indubala Bhaater Hotel, Montu Pilot, and Dracula Sir fame, the film has finally received an OTT release date this summer. Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole follows the layered and interlinked journey of the creator, Swapan Kumar, a yesteryear Bengali pulp fiction author, and creation, Dipak Chatterjee, a top-notch, quirky and unconventional erstwhile detective turned grumpy, frustrated security guard.

In this wonderful take on the relationship between the author and his text, creator and creation, God and us mortals, we see an irked Dipak question and taunt his creator for all his ridiculous traits that have rendered him a laughingstock among modern Bengalis.
