Shruti Haasan clarifies on news doing the rounds on her battling PCOS; releases a video squashing rumours

A week ago, Shruti Haasan posted a workout video on her Instagram page along with a detailed note on her fight with PCOS and endometriosis. She also provided a few fitness tips to her followers and asked them to accept these challenges and not let them define you.

The news became viral in no time, and it looks like some of the media outlets made a big fuss of it by coming up with exaggerated reports that she's quite unwell and that the actress has been hospitalized. Now, she has released a video through her manager in Kollywood to clarify rumours about her health.

Shruti, who is seen traveling in a car, said that she is currently working in Hyderabad. The video has her saying, "A couple of days ago, about my workout routine and having PCOS which a lot of women have. Yes, it is true and challenging, but no, it doesn't mean I'm unwell or in critical condition."

She added, "I realized that some media outlets blew it way out of proportion without reading the actual post which is supposed to be positive. But I also got calls asking if I'm admitted to the hospital which I'm really not. I'm doing perfectly fine."

Shruti also thanked everyone for their genuine concerns, and informed that she has been battling PCOS for several years. The actress is shooting for Prashanth Neel's most awaited film Salaar which has Prabhas playing the lead.

She has Balakrishna's NBK 107 directed by Gopichand Malineni and Chiranjeevi's Mega 154 directed by Bobby, too, in her kitty. Last seen in Tamil in Laabam (streaming on Netflix) along with Vijay Sethupathi, the actress is yet to sign a Kollywood project. Rumours have been doing the rounds around her teaming up with a film under the direction of Deekay, though.
