The first single from Era Saravanan's Udanpirappe, AnneyYaaranney, was released a few days ago. Shreya Ghoshal had lent voice for the song which had lyrics penned by Yugabhaarathi. The track was all about brother-sister relationship on which the the story of the movie is based on. The makers have now dropped the second single, titled Othapana Kaatteri. Sung by Sid Sriram, this track, too, has been written by Yugabhaarathi.
The song has a few BTS moments from the recording studio where composer Imman is seen giving instructions to Sid Sriram. A few shots of the latter singing is also showcased. The romantic track features Nivedhithaa Sathish and Sidhaarth, and offers a sneak peek into a wedding sequence which has Sasikumar, Jyotika, Soori and Sija Rose. Samuthirakani, Aadukalam Naren and Kalaiyarasan are others who will be seen essaying important roles in the film which has editing by Ruben and cinematography by Velraj.
Super Subbaraayan and Dhilip Subbaraayan, the popular father-son duo, have choreographed action sequences for the film which has Jyotika and Sasikumar essaying the roles of Mathangi and Vairavan respectively. The family drama, which was shot in Thanjavur and Pudukkottai, went on floors in 2019. Udanpirappe was wrapped up much before the first lockdown last year. The film is one among the projects of the four-film deal signed between 2D Entertainment Pvt Ltd and Amazon Prime Video. The movie will premiere on the streaming platform from October 14.
TS Gnanavel's Jai Bhim and Sarov Shanmugham's Oh My Dog are the upcoming movies among the four-film deal which will premiere on the OTT platform in November and December respectively. Udanpirappe will have a Telugu version, too; it will premiere with the title Raktha Sambandham.
