Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal trailer: A heart-warming, slice-of-life film featuring an ensemble cast

The news pertaining to audio and trailer launch of Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal has been doing the rounds on social media, thanks to the presence of Kamal Haasan who attended the event as the chief guest. The movie directed by Vishal Venkat has an ensemble cast.

Ashok Selvan, Reyaa, Nasser, Manikandan, Abi Hassan, Anju Kurian, Praveen Raja, Rythvika, KS Ravikumar, Bhanupriya and Ilavarasu among others play important characters in the film which revolves around an incident which changes the life of everyone in no time. Produced by R Ravindran of Trident Arts, the film is expected to have a theatrical release. 

Meyyendiran has handled the movie's cinematography while Prasanna GK has done its editing. Manikandan, who received praise for his performance in the recently released Jai Bhim (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), has penned the dialogues for the movie. Dinesh and Sri Krish have composed dance movements while Snekan, RJ Vijay and Maathevan have written the lyrics for songs in the movie. 

Ashok Selvan was last seen in Tamil in Oh My Kadavule (streaming on Zee5) which released a month before the onslaught of COVID-19 in 2020. His Mollywood debut, Maraikkayar: Arabikadalin Singam, which had hit the screens recently, is premiering on Amazon Prime Video from December 17. 

Interestingly, the title Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal was earlier used by A Bhimsingh for his movie which released in 1977. Based on the novel written by Jayakanthan, the film starred Lakshmi, Srikanth, CK Nagesh and YG Parthasarathy in lead roles. The film is considered to be one of the classics in Tamil cinema.
