Silambarasan, Gautham Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu to join the list of April releases?

A host of releases from different film industries are expected to hit the screens on April this year. Vijay-starrer Beast and Lawrence-starrer Rudhran are expected to be the Kollywood movies that will release for the summer season. Looks like one more project is going to join the bandwagon. 

Gautham Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, starring Silambarasan in the lead, is likely to make it to the big screens in April, going by the team's current plans. The producer of the film, Isari K Ganesh, hinted at the same while interacting with a media house the other day. The makers had unveiled a teaser and a few working stills earlier from the movie. 

Vijay and Silambarasan will have a clash at the box office again, in case this happens. The actors' Master (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) and Eeswaran (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) released together last year during Pongal festival. Siddhi Idnani will make her Tamil debut with Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu which has music composed by AR Rahman. 

The Mozart of Madras had earlier joined hands with Gautham and Silambarasan for Vinnaithandi Varuvaya (streaming on YouTube) and Acham Enbathu Madamaiyada (streaming on Jio Cinema and MX Player). He was the music director for Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) as well which had Silambarasan playing one of the lead roles. 

Gautham has Varun-starrer Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha and Vikram-starrer Dhruva Natchathiram in his kitty, while Silambarasan's upcoming movies include Pathu Thala, Corona Kumar and Maha. He is in talks with a project each for Ashwath Marimuthu and Sudha Kongara as well.

If other language films like KGF 2 and RRR are not releasing in April, movie buffs can expect more Tamil films to release in the month, thanks to the occasion of Tamil New Year falling on April 14.
