Silambarasan TR is currently in London and the latest pictures of the stylish actor have set the internet on fire. In the picture, the Pathu Thala star is seen in an all-black attire with his long hair neatly tied up in a bun. He is also sporting stylish sunglasses.

The actor is currently gearing up for his next, which is tentatively being referred to as STR48. The film will be helmed by Desingh Periyasamy who had earlier directed Dulquer Salmaan and Ritu Varma's Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal. The film marked his debut.

His sophomore project STR 48 will be bankrolled by none other Kamal Haasan's production house, Raaj Kamal Films International. Taking to his social media handle, the director had written. "I feel extremely grateful for the unimaginable miracles of my life. Having the privilege of narrating a story to Ulaganayagan @ikamalhaasan sir for being given the opportunity to direct under his prestigious @RKFI is a dream come true..Miracles do happen (sic)."

He also thanked Silambarasan for believing in him and his script. He wrote, "Thank you @SilambarasanTR_ brother for accepting my Script and believing in me. You have been unbelievably supportive from the day one Thank you GOD (sic)."

 Silambarasan was last seen in Obeli Krishna's Pathu Thala, in which he played the dreaded gangster AGR. The plot of the long-delayed film revolves around an undercover cop (Gautham Karthi) who goes to find and kill a crime lord. But, when he realises that the gangster's business intentions are good, he takes a drastic change in his stand and helps him instead.

The film also starred Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Menon, Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam and Anu Sithara as part of the star cast. Music for the film is by AR Rahman. Pathu Thala was bankrolled by Studio Green and the film opened to mixed reviews.
